L.Hunter (top 100 recruit in 2021 class) is a 6'5" 300 lb. D-Tackle.
Did not play in 2021 for Auburn. Now he's transferring.
Kind of interesting that, with the RS rule that allows players to play up to 4 games and still retain their RS status, still didn't get any snaps.
If N.Eason likes the kid (and who would know better than N.Eason), then we've got to say 'go get him.'
(?) Wonder if he'd be eligible for a 'COVID year' even though he RS's in 2021?

Sometimes young guys who are that big aren’t the right kind of big to play with leverage. In hs you can play high and be huge and be okay. Not at this level, though.
But I was referring to kids we know who have upside. Kids we recruited or in this case coached. One looking for good coaching and a fair shake, not an NIL deal and a promise to start.

Unless somebody is going to transfer do we really need another DT? If we could get him and keep everybody around then it would be great but I would say that he would be behind Davis, Bresee, Ruke, Williams, Etinosa, and Page. I would rather see us adding depth nearly everywhere else first.

All of the players except Page could leave next year for the NFL if they wanted. I doubt all of them would, but just saying, there’s a great future to sell him on. He would help make up for only taking Page last year and not having a DT committed yet this year.

Regarding the TP will hurt us. We shunned the TP, now we're open to it; but who wants to come here via the TP because of the negative connotations it has held.
