I remember back in the late 80’s when the tournament was held in Greenville SC. We arranged for free hotel rooms for the teams and attendance was over 7,000 for just about every session. ACC leadership sucks. But I digress.

It should be in Charlotte every year where the ACC Headquarters is , just like the ACC Football Championship is, the ACC Basketball should be all the time. (Greensboro is ok because of the long history but more sense for Charlotte)
Charlotte last year had great attendance.

The average attendance per game last year was a round 4,776 and the total attendance 71,118 (the second highest attendance record in acc tournament history.) Not sure of the average in 2025 but it has to be around 2000. As it stands right now, the total attendance for this tournament is 50,999. With one more game left I doubt we reach 70,000.

Actually there is no way we get 70,000. Maybe if the whole stadium was packed today we could get close to 60,000.

Well, since Flour Field does not hold 7000, that would have been an accomplishment but a thousand people who saw the game last night that would not have been able to in Greenville. The other thing you have to recognize is there were never 16 teams playing in Greenville. Durham is the big park in the central location of the conference and it makes perfect sense for the tournament to be there.

UNC fans could take a taxi, uber, or bus ride and not have to worry about parking, It's closer than going from Clemson to Easley.

If you actually believe that 1,721 people were in attendance for the 9:00 am Game between California vs Miami on Wednesday — then I have an Ocean Villa that I will sell you in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

It says attendance per Wikipedia but you may be right. It may be way lower then what is said right now.
