Yeah but last year we would have had a 4th quarter squeaker if we played them. Take the positive. We couldn't do that against sc state type team last year imo.

I pointed this pitiful defense out after the 1st Quarter last week. I don't know if it is their scheme or their athletes but it was obvious in Death Valley right off of the bat.
My philosophical question is: Why does everyone here notice it against South Alabama, but not against our Tigers ?

I am pretty certain that our coaches has watched and have tempered their expectations. It would be great to see us turn the corner. I am hoping the App State was the catalyst to sync everything up and we take off from there.

My son, An App St grad, was on the sidelines last night. He described it as watching a child getting spanked in the grocery store. You saw it, but really kind of embarrassed for looking.

I’m really surprised. App State is not known to be one of those pushover type schools, and this happened at home. Their fans are probably shell shocked. I do not know anything about them personnel wise but they have obviously lost a lot of talent.

Yeah that was my main takeaway after the game with them is how slow their secondary looked. They also took terrible angles to the ball so it seemed they were always out of position. I think South Alabama is really freakin good offensively though. They scored 87 points two weeks ago against an FCS school without really trying in the second half.
