I figured the ACC would win at least 5-6 games.
2-11 is god awful.

Bowl records anymore Is beyond me. Most of these teams are shells of themselves. Just tonight the Hokies played without 24 players who entered the portal. Why do people act like these bowl teams are the same ones from the regular season? Its just an exhibition of the leftovers!

Aren’t we literally suing to get out of the ACC? Conference pride is not a thing in the ACC

there is a mix of season starters and 2nd/3rd stringers on the teams to get 11 players on the field. I don't really take too much from it but one would think just by averages the ACC would have fared better than it did during bowl season.

I wasn’t impressed with the pairings. If you noticed, many ranked SEC teams played unranked teams and quite a few ACC teams were given really tough matchups. I believe it is to push the SEC narrative which kinda backfired. The SEC isn’t dominating their bowl games either. In fact, they are in danger of going below .500 out of conference for the year.

Don't kid yourself. These bowl games are revealing and provide some insight. What are we seeing? Alarmingly, the SEC is not dominating. Our teams that are winning are, as a whole, struggling to get the win. Didn't used to be this way. Our best teams don't look like our best anymore.
As far as over there in these bowl games both teams lose players. Where it has killed the ACC the team they are playing had more DEPTH to start with and that is enough to carry them through for the win.
What's going on? Clearly, some BIG teams have outspent the upper level SEC teams. SEC has outspent ACC and B12 teams. We have seen a shift this year. Have a 100,000 seat stadium? Have a great fan base? Have the very best in facilities? Have tradition others wish they had? Have a fantastic head coach? Have the top conference? Turn out the most NFL players? None of that matters now. The only missing thing is money. Players are jumping to a team that will pay them the most. They don't care where it is at it is how much will you give me.
This ratchets it up even more. The SEC pays out great money and in a few years it jumps up even more but that is not enough. To reach the top you have to pay out much more than you ever imagined. All it takes is one very wealthy individual contributing massive funds and it will change everything and times have, now, for sure changed. For one, did you see what Magic Johnson said? He will donate unlimited funds to buy a team that will win Michigan State a national championship. Egos will now come into effect where one billionaire will show another billionaire he has more money and resolve than another one. Players that would once have went to Clemson, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Oklahoma (and you fill in the blank) will go to a place you never hear of if they will pay him more. Clearly, Ohio State is just now coming into fruition with all the money they have spent the past few years. There had to bed a talent shift to get them to where they are now. Michigan says they are not going to stand for it and has earmarked sixty million to spend on players for this coming year. Its changed forever, folks. Reminds me of Major League Baseball when it was nothing but the Yankees because they spent more than anyone else for players.

Facts, but you could argue also that it all depends on which players you lose to the portal. For Clemson that was not an excuse that could have been used for losing. Some teams like Oklahoma and UNC were decimated with portal entries. Awesome for Navy to get a win vs Oklahoma but dang they had 25 players in the portal, and UNC had a rb playing QB.

That's because ESPN is out to get the ACC. It's not that the conference isn't good.

Unless you are in the playoffs this stat is now meaningless. Fun to talk about but honestly not the record it would have been had these teams stayed intact through bowl season. I’m figuring we may have at least one more win.😳
A matter of fact and I hate to say it but some of these teams would have been better served to opt and avoided the humiliation on national tv. Some folks have no clue what all changed roster wise between the last game of the year and their bowl game.
