FSU is losing a boatload of guys to NFL.

There were 7 guys last year who could have declared for draft but, thanks to NIL, chose to come back and play this year. (Verse, Travis, Benson, et. al.)

So far we are losing players in portal due to being buried on depth chart, not guys looking for big NIL deals. (Patrick Payton possibly being an exception.) We don't have a lot of guys that would be able to look for big bucks by transferring to another school.

We have a top 5, so far, recruiting class, but we need a ton of help in the portal to be able to contend for ACC championship next year.

contend for ACC championship next year." That's the downside of relying heavily on the portal for a starting roster.

My gut tells me that the teams that make a habit of heavy portal recruiting for starters is building their program culture on a foundation of jello.

Louisville seems to be the Fl State of the last two years as they seem to be loading up on transfers. We got to play them next year as well.
