A fatal flaw of the CFB PowerBrokers plan for a 2-conference setup ???

I think its obvious, the powers that be would like to see a 2 power conference setup for college football.

I think the major flaw of this plan is that CFB fans are fans of schools, not conferences.

Clemson fans want to see Tigers' games
Okie State fans want to see the Cowboys' games
Washington State fans want to see the Cougars' games
etc. etc. etc.

To assume that Clemson fans will want to spend their Sat afternoons watching SEC / BIG games ... I'm not sure that is going to happen.

If we are IN one of the two I'll spend my day watching them. Okie State and Washington State have no shot at being in the Big 2.

Tell me you don't know any coots without saying you don't know any coots.

To an extent. Every SEC school is a fan of the SEC, too. If we watch college football we always hunt for an SEC team to watch. No team is more important than the conference.

Agreed that the audience is not what they think it will be. I would not watch BIG or SEC only tournament with no Clemson involvement. I will just go all in on NFL.

This would diminish the potential audience.
