On paper Texas wins. But this game isn’t played on paper and anything is possible. I really feel like if Clemson tries to establish the run Clemson loses. Mafah hasn’t been a 100% for a while and Haynes is injured. The only running game should be designed QB runs to add balance to a deep ball passing attack. I think a game where Cade throws the ball 50 times is the key to a Clemson victory. Throw the 50/50 ball and let Wesco Williams Moore Turner and Randall compete for those balls. What does Clemson have to lose in a game Clemsons not given a chance in? Throw the ball deep often and see what happens.

We have to make it look like we have 30 people that plays on offense. We have to confuse them because we're not going to just flat out over power them.
On defense the secondary better learn to tackle effectively and efficiently.....and keep everything in front them...because Texas has the best set of receivers that we have seen on our schedule this year.

Gonna disagree with this. Our receivers are fast and good route runners with good hands. Not the big type like Mike Williams or tee Higgins that make them 70/30 balls.

Yep! I can't remember very many contested catches we've made. JB9 and TJ Moore are the guys with the best chance at those type of catches, but each guy has struggled with that all year. TJ doesn't high point the ball and Jake has dropped most of his tough catches.

The WR screen is a fantastic play that catches defenses off guard and has been in the offense for a couple decades. It should be called 20% of the time. Don’t believe me? Just ask Oklahoma.

Seriously? 50/50 balls against far and away the best pass defense in football? Those would be 80/20 balls in favor of Texas. We have to scheme guys open and exploit mismatches. Get a LB stuck on Williams or Brinningstool. Georgia couldn’t pass the ball at ALL on Texas. Heck, nobody has. UGA beat them by running the ball. We’ve gotta get Mafah healthy or shoot his shoulder full of lidocaine and block our butts off while sprinkling in a mismatch pass to have a legit chance.

agree if we resort to 50/50 balls then our coaches are dumber than a bag of rocks. I cant recall us catching even 1 50/50 ball in years now??? Wesco , moore, and williams are not tall receivers so this strategy would be dumb. Cade throws a couple of these every game in 3rd and medium situations and it drives me crazy. We never complete them, just wasted plays.

You really think Clemson's best chance to win is to throw the ball 50 times in situations in which your guys have a coin flip chance of success?
How about this as a strategy: Sell out to stop Texas' running game and pressure Ewers. Accept you'll give up some passing yards but keep them out of the end zone. That's exactly how UGA beat them twice.
