There was a litany of whiners about this in Dabo's early days yet he proved to be right as rain on his approach, and the quackers, well, proved themselves quackers.
I see the same angst with all the portal this, portal that whining here lately, and how 'obvious' it is that we're not at a championship level today due to that.
Same old story. Different year. And now the whole 5-Heart thing is back.
I feel bad for so many of you that can't enjoy this ride we're on and how unique Clemson continues to be, though still true to its roots, through it all. Dabo has proven time and again that he rises above the noise and focuses in on what he knows in his heart to be the right way - and he has more than delivered. We are blessed that Dabo has enough faith in himself and his foundation to overcome the lack of it from too many Tigers that should know better by now.

How many fans think they know far more than they do and their ignorance on soooo many things shine thru.? Dabo is staying so those that don’t like his program and the way he chooses to run it have the option to leave.

The OP said it was back so my question is how he knows it is back? Did his neighbor tell him about, did the old men at Hardees he sits with every morning talk about it or did he see it on the web? If on the web there would be a link.

Sadly, it is a real thing and to 1 degree or another, a detriment. When you have 2 or 3+ different self imposed handicaps regarding talent acquisition in practice annually the combined detriment may reach noticeable to significant level.

I’d be curious if there’s any statistics in terms of number of snaps taken per scholarship (broken down by quarter). I do feel like we pass out scholarships a bit liberally, but I have no data to make me want to bang a drum about it. If the data was available it would be interesting to see if the walk ons turned scholarships are translating into contributions on meaningful snaps. And especially interesting if you compare it between programs with varying levels of success to see if there’s actually any correlation
