Not 6. Four is a very real possibility

I can see 4, but not 6 unless an exceptionally strong year and even then I cant see more than 5 getting in.

There should be a max of three teams from any one conference

And I don't care if a conference has four of the top five ranked teams...max of three in! One of the main reasons for expanding the playoff is getting a broader representation from around the country. You don't do that by loading it up from one conference!

Not possible for that to happen under the format that I have seen described because the math just does not out.

Maybe you are better at math than me but I don't think so. Top 6 conference champs get in and 1 of those will be from the SEC. That's 1 and then the next 6 highest ranked teams. My math class says that 1+6=7. What does yours say?

My exact thoughts from the very second I heard about a 12 team playoff where there will be multiple sec teams, and they will be given the easiest match ups in a 12 team playoffs trying to assure a SEC NCG!!!

They could let 50 teams in from that Bama heavy conference and the coots still couldn't make it ??

Watch the groaning and moaning from 13 through 16, especially if they beat 10th to 12th.

Gee, under the 12 team format, if used last year, Georgia would have played Cinncy -- in Cinncy. Or in the future, playin in Wisconsin in December. Unless one is a Cheese Head no one would like that venue.
