I’m reading between the lines, but I believe that is what Dabo is saying to the SEC or Big 10.
Why not blow this D1 thing up sooner than later and let the big boys play semi-pro football?
NCAA has no teeth anymore. NIL and the portal has created a new universe. Letting the ACC hold some GOR over everybody needs to get a court date.

Yes you are wrong. Semi pro football league would destroy college football just like in college baseball. Totally against it. People want to see the best players play.
As for the amount of games. Simple, follow fcs formula. Max games played are 15. Eliminate the conference champion games. Really that simple.

Great sentiments Clemgalalways …except the horses are gone and closing the barn door is useless.
12 teams in next year’s playoffs is the next straw. Every person over forty can yearn for the old student-athlete but that’s becoming rarer and rarer.

either embrace this new semi-pro crap or find something else to do with your fall weekends. Im on the fence right now, kind of a wait and see mode, but if I had to put money on it, Id say my days watching "college" football are coming to an end sooner than later.
