You can’t put your disdain of BB to the side and enjoy beating the tarholes in their trash house. Been a disappointing season in ways but that win last nice was amazing.

There have been some disappointing losses but I certainly would not call it a disappointing season, particularly if we get a bid to the Big Dance.

That’s why I said in ways it’s disappointing not as a whole, we are way too talented to have some of the losses we do. Yet if this team catches fire at the right time they can still make a run. I’ve just seen a bunch of “fans” on socials acting mad because we won and they take it as BB is getting an extension which is insane.

Sorry, none of us get to decide who is and who is not a Clemson fan… as much as I would like to be that guy. I really don’t like a lot of what a lot of people post and especially don’t like a lot of what I hear from “fans in the stands” when things aren’t going well… but they’re still Clemson fans.

I would definitely say that you are not a Clemson fan if your hate for the coach does not allow you to celebrate a great win over the Heels.

Some posters can't handle any criticism of Brownell, and some were acting like last night's big win was some kind of vindication that somehow erases the totality of the last 13+ years. That is very much in play here. I'm happy for Brownell and the team. As a life-long Clemson fan, I loved seeing Clemson basketball win in Chapel Hill; I fully understand how huge that is. Still, in my mind, Brownell's future at Clemson is very much in question, and this season will be pivotal in decisions affecting that future. Now, I wouldn't even have brought that up, and would have been happy just celebrating and gloating over the win, but some could not leave it alone, so I am responding.

Fact is, we are tied for 8th in the conference with a losing record and one big win does not reset the season..just ask GT.
While we should handle Cuse on Saturday, there is a gnawing feeling that we will play flat and fall to 9th in conference and end up as a bubble team once again, hoping for an ACC tourney upset to get us in as an 8th or 9th seed.
We have had too many unforgivable performances this season for me to get excited about the BB team.... We've seen this movie before.
I love beating Carolina. I just want it to be more meaningful than the game that kept Brad off the hotseat for another year.

Still just can’t remember an ACC team with a losing conference record making it in? I may be way off in my thoughts and a win last night definitely gives one much hope but until we are in at least the top 1/2 in the conference I’m not sure how we are not on the bubble.
We have solid qualifying wins and I totally understand that side of it, but I’m guessing the metrics are different these days. We could win out, finish close to the top of the conference, and none of what I just typed would be of any relevance. Which is more of what I’m hoping.
