It seems LSU fans are running out of gas...

That’s common for a fan base with limited experience on the big stage. Sprint out the gates, but quickly lose steam. I’ve also noticed Clemson fans are pacing themselves, and are actually getting stronger as the game approaches. I suspect the same is holding true for the two football teams involved.

The fans are built exactly like the football teams.

Dabo's teams usually start slow but as the game goes on Clemson's built depth carries the team.
On the other hand teams like LSU play their starters well into the 4th quarter with games in hand. Against teams like Clemson that will leave them gassed nearing the end of the 3rd.

We are not actually running out of gas, just starting to prep for our tailgates,
which are legendary and require quite a bit of effort, food, partying, and alcohol
of some sort to fuel us through the game. You might say its the calm before the storm,
or you can go with what the OP stated.
Either way, Clemson can't lose!
