Remember the time when Rick Barnes was the coach and the Tigers were playing North Carolina in Chapel Hill and ended up at the end of the game with just 4 players left on the roster to play.Tobacco Road officiating has just not been kind for the most part to Clemson Basketball.

Yep. Remember Jr reid? Clemson had Jr trapped in the back court in a very close game in Chapel Hill. Reid starts swinging his elbows and hits a tiger defender in the nose. A foul is called on the tiger that got slammed in the nose. Tiger coach Ellis is livid at the call and is lit up with a T. Feet win by 6, the exact number they got off that terrible call.
Never ever seen such a ###### game changing call. Clemson had them on the ropes with momentum. That call prevented a possible upset and our 1st win there.

It's Brown Ls fault

When the Tigers were 6 of 12 on 3s in the first half, I knew Brown L would fall in love with that and not attack the basket.
I watched the game too, and I didn't see the calls being unfair.
When you don't attack the basket, you don't get fouls called in your favor.
When Banchero got 2 fouls, Brown L should have attacked the basket more when he got back in the game.
Brown L can't blame the refs.

Your immature comment makes me think you're 5 years old.
It's excuses.
I'm an alum, and there's nothing I want to see more than for Clemson to beat duke.
Thanks for your spelling lesson, but I don't need your help.
Just as some of you call him Brown Lee, I choose to call him Brown L for all the silly losses he's gotten.

I agree the officiating wasn't too bad last night. We've certainly been treated worse in previous years in both Durham and Chapel Hill. The 1 FT looks bad on the surface, but when a team isn't driving to the basket often there really is less opportunity for shooting fouls.
I'm not too sure that the guys should have done more attacking though. We are so badly undersized that most opponents can simply block our shots without having to foul around the basket. I'm not sure why Brownell doesn't recruit a few bigger Forwards/Centers to be able to bang around under the basket. It has been a weakness for a while now, and doesn't appear to be getting better. Hall even is more finesse than what is needed under the basket. I know the game overall has moved away from the basket in recent years, but you still have to have a guy or two that can get the tough rebound and put it back in the basket!

Only problem is when you attack the basket at Cameron indoor you get called for a charge.

Not very many teams are going to attack the basket when you have 7’1” Williams and 6’10” Banchero underneath. And they were playing Hall very physical and nothing was being called. The strategy was for Hall to pull Williams outside and find the open cutter which we did several times. I think we sometimes rely on the 3 pointer too much too but this time it looked like a good game plan. IMO Hall attempted more 3 pointers than I would have liked to see but he also hit more than I would have expected. Every game and opponent is different.

No excuses it’s been that way for as long as I can remember in Chapel Hill and Cameron Indoor. Call it excuses if it makes you feel better but the numbers are too lopsided at their place. You will not see those same numbers at LJ. It’s pathetic and a reason I loved Barnes. He called BS and he was correct.

You got it.I’m an old guy and this conference has always treated us like a red headed step child. Our ADM has never been able to get us any respect from the conference. The officials are afraid of the NC Duke NC State boosters

Crooked ACC officials. They are intimidated by certain schools and certain coaches. How many times does Rat Face stare down and point his finger at officials. Too numerous to count. At least I’m glad for Brad to finally stand up and speak up and call them out. They usually are not intimidated by. Brad.
