Outside of my immediate family, I don’t generally associate with anyone who is not either a billionaire or on the way to becoming one. My security detail is really good at ensuring this, and I’m always so humbled and thankful they work so hard to protect me from the low-borns. They are loyal to me because I pay them well, and as long as they never make eye contact with me, they enjoy fantastic job security, benefits, time off, etc.
One time I flew Salt Bae out to my private island estate in Micronesia so he could entertain my wife and me with a butchery and grilling lesson before our midday pearl diving outing, when what to my surprise should wash up on my shore but a shipwrecked young man clinging to a piece of splintered wood! I ordered my on-site medical team to admit him to my modest inpatient facility to stabilize his vitals and heal his gut with kombucha. When I checked in with my physicians briefly the following day, the young man tried yelling something at me from the hospital bed, so I closed his room door and finished listening to his medical clearance report before ordering my coffee go-fer to drop him off in Palikir while he was making his daily helicopter run for my freshly roasted arabica.
It wasn’t much of conversation, per se, but I remember it vividly.

After.
I dropped all those altruistic medical ideals and began identifying as uber wealthy shorty after learning about healthcare reimbursement rates.
