I’d call a press conference, thank the university then announce I’m gone and tell everyone good luck. If the man wins it’s because he’s in the ACC, if he loses it’s because they suck. He’s accomplished enough in his profession that the way the sport is going it just isn’t worth it anymore and definitely isn’t worth getting portrayed by the fans as stupid 24/7.

They all signed off on what Dabo is and has built; any angst needs to come from somewhere other than the "1%ers" - he knows "they're" always looking for a reason to rail.

True I wasn’t on Tnet during the run so the only thing I know about Tnet is crying non stop about every little thing Dabo does and acting like he’s sitting on a throne laughing while the program falls apart. I swear some on here act like Dabo is going after them personally it’s wild ??

I don’t think anyone believes Dabo is laughing while the program falls apart. The reality is far worse than that. He genuinely believes he is doing things right and seems oblivious that the program is falling apart. That’s the scary part!

about the direction of the program?
How about the handful who are leaving school early to enter the draft?
I’m sure you’ll say that they all love Clemson and just want more playing time, or to pursue their NFL dream. But what if that’s not the entire truth?

What if, what if???? What if it is the truth? You can make up carp all day. None of us know the entire truth so you just suggest anything that furthers your point. What a joke.
And yes, most of those leaving in the portal probably believe the program is strong enough they aren’t going to get the playing time they want.
We have always had some guys that go to the NFL as soon as they can. The fact that we have more guys that could be high picks return than other programs speaks volumes about our program. You just can’t seem to admit that because you are continually trying to cherry pick negative points to make.

And it's always been the same flavors of complaints.
Conditioning (FIRE BATSON!) Line play Defense play, particularly the secondary (even under Brent Venebles) Predictable play calling on offense
Those teams that won the Natty's weren't perfect. 2018 was ###### good and chock full of talent. But some people won't be happy unless they find something to complain about.

The turnout by Clemson fans in the orange bowl might be a good sign of how the fan base is feeling about the direction of the program. A huge CU turnout in Miami would indicate Tigernet is not indicative of the mood. A low turnout would indicate things aren’t good.
We all know what the turnout was.

He's got year after year after year of making $9M++ regardless of how successful he is as a head coach or the trajectory of the Clemson football program. We've literally put it ALL in his hands, and there isn't much point in even discussing it.
I have no idea what's going to happen in the future with Clemson football. I am very surprised and disappointed in the way things are going right now, specifically since the end of the 2020 season. Dabo's refusal to change anything would seem to indicate that he's not greatly concerned. I sincerely hope that isn't the case, but I cannot escape that conclusion until I see him do something the change the current trajectory of the program... because even the sunniest, most deluded pumper here knows it isn't good right now.

both coordinators left for other jobs. Dabo didn't make a change there. He hired replacements.
And the false dichotomy is killing this debate and continuing to maker folks talk past each other. The program isn't falling apart. But neither is it thriving and continuing to innovate or adjust to maximize potential in a thoroughgoing way. Some aspects suffer from stagnancy and atrophy, autopilot, force of habit, and complacency. Any attempt simply point at "11-3 and an ACC title" w/ no more nuance than that is simply an attempt to dismiss the problems with handwaving. . . Likewise, characterizations that inflate the problems to unmitigated catastrophe levels are likewise blinkered.

Maybe he loves coaching football. Maybe he realizes how incredibly blessed he is to get rich doing what he loves to do. Maybe those factors far outweigh what people say about the program. I'd hazard a guess that Dabo doesn't care in the least what fans post. Would you want a coach who made decisions based on what fans thought?

Well maybe he will put the program back where he found it. We sucked before he took over. 7-6 8-5 were good seasons for us. We have been one of the most consistent teams in the country going back to 2011. Us and Bama and Uga is there now. Stop with all your crying. Sound pathetic.

Dabo has done a lot of amazing things for this program including 2 national championships that I thought I would never see-I was born in 91 and was brought up going to every game in the Bowden era. That does not give Dabo a pass in my mind for his inexcusable friend/nepotism hires he has made. Wes Goodwin is 37 years old, had never coached football and is clearly in over his head. Do I really even need to say anything about Streeter and the offense? All of our staff from the coordinators down to the office staff are underqualified and we could get way more for the money we are spending. We won 2/3 national championships to Dabo's credit but he did not build on it and instead has us falling behind.

We could easily have a way better staff that would allow us to compete for national championships imo. If we want to pay Dabo for past performance and let him do what he wants so be it-maybe he's earned it but I want more. And, yes, I miss Jeff's recruiting.

Dabo is a grown man and not unduly affected by whimpering and hang-wringing from the peanut gallery.
I am concerned that Fabo is getting frustrated by ‘entitled’ fans who levy hyperbolic criticism of players that they don’t like by CALLING OUT THE PLAYER BY NAME.
The abundance of spoiled brat fans in Clemson Nation is disgusting. (This ‘brat’ syndrome is NOT limited to young fans; I hear snide, loud, and churlish comments from Clemson fans who are old enough to be grand parents.)
If Dabo comes to believe that his presence contributes too much of the wrath to which his players are exposed, then I could see him hanging it up or giving it a shot elsewhere (Bama).
