Why anyone in the South would buy a turtleneck is beyond me. Seems like there's only three days out of the year one might consider wearing such a thing, even if one doesn't consider it stupid-looking.

I now own one mock turtle neck that gets pulled out maybe twice a year, tops.
They're great for cold weather, but living below the Mason-Dixon Line, there's really not much need.

On those 4 days a year it is cold enough to need a neck warmer, I throw on a scarf. You can take that off when you get inside.

but I haven't worn one since.
I also used to have one of those dress shirts with the button up band collar around the same time. Quit wearing because they went out of style like parachute pants.
Also, whoever said they pull stubble was 100% right. Annoying AF
