It has been a Bell Ringer of everything that has been said about Wes Goodwin since Dabo showed him to the EXIT, but it was absolutely a different conversation being said/talked about when I gave my opinion of him being hired as DC when BV became the HC at Oklahoma. But, I totally forgive everybody's Rude comments when I suggested that Goodwin was absolutely the wrong hire and that Dabo would soon learn another valuable lesson at his very first HC-ing job, and as I stated it as soon as we learned of Goodwins hire as our DC. I said that just bc a person is very intelligent in many different things (I believe that fits Wes) it doesn't mean that all intelligent people could be a successful college FB defensive coordinator. With an over 70-year-old memory, I remember saying something like Dabo just made a really bad hire with Wes Goodwin as our DC bc he had absolutely NO on the field coaching experience in his history since the day he first became a GA under Dabo as HC.
IMO, if anybody should have known that Goodwin wasn't ready to become the DC at any level much less with a university at the level that Dabo has led our FB program to be, it should have been Dabo, but he is no different than anybody else, us humans will make mistakes even when it feels like it we could be making a mistake, that's what we call living and learning from our own mistakes. Our own mistakes are the best lessons we can learn from I think...
There is one thing that I want T-Netters to know, I've never been a grudge holder, and I forgive the ones that made the nasty comments toward me when I shared my opinion of the Goodwin hire when that job was given to him, and I just didn't see the outcome being any different than it ended up being...

Thank you!!! I don't let things like that get to me bc I know that they have a choice and one of them is they can click the Ignore button and it's supposed shut me out of the threads they read and I'm very OK with that. They can also choose not to click on a post that has my screenname on the post. I mean if my grammar isn't to their acceptance they shouldn't click on a post with my screenname bc I've never tried to be an English major...

I saw the get-back coach tickle Venables one time when he was encroaching onto the field. Venables turned around and took a swat at him. Venables apparently didn't like being tickled, however it did get him off the field.
