In my mind there is nothing he could do short of winning the national championship for me to say he should return. I think he should have been let go 5 or 6 years ago.
With that being said.
I do think we have EARNED a spot in the ncaa tournament. I’m not sure a ACC team has ever won 13 conference games and NOT made the dance. It’s absurd that bracketlogy has a West Virginia team that’s 5-11 in conference in over us. If that happens the entire system should be burned to the ground.
The tigers will most likely end the season with at least 14 conference wins and that should #### near be an auto bid.

Or Louisville that was under 275 Net. Its those ridiculous losses that should send CBB packing. Just think if we won against Loyola, Louisville, and Coot?? This would have been a magical year that is forever tainted with the typical BS losses that have been part of CBB tenure that makes people not trust him. It is forever happening throughout his career. He wins a good game against a ranked team then against a Qtr 1 team, but turns around and loses to a 3 win Qtr4 team. With one of our best yrs we are still in the first group out of the NCAAT, just explains how crappy the ACC is this year.
CBB coaching has put us in bad spot with a good team. I hope we make the tournament because we usually play really well against good teams. We could actually make some noise in the tournament but CBB has to go no matter what happens.

I disagree with you on Coach Brownell but I agree on the system. It goes way beyond reason. If we are going to get into Quad " crap" then none of the mid-range and lower conferences should be in the tournament and just let EVERY team in a power 5 conference in. Realistically for example College of Charleston is a very good team in their league and played UNC tough but really they have ZERO chance of winning a National Championship.

If we do indeed make the tournament this year, that will have us being a participant 3 out of the last 5 years the tournament has been held. That’s pretty good by Clemson standards, and I can’t see him being let go.
If we don’t make the tournament, I could see it going either way as far as Brownell being retained. His overall tenure has been really bad, but there has been some improvement the last 5 years. Not sure if that’s enough given it’s year 13 if we don’t make the tournament.

It has been and it will always be that we have a lot of fans feel that as long as our coaches are nice and respectable guys, they should keep their job at Clemson regardless of their wln/loss record. For me it's a plus, but along with being a nice guy, they must also win at least 60% of their games or go somewhere else to lose!!!

If the administration gives him incentives for making the NIT, then you should focus your attention on those who enable him. We should not reward for the NIT, but that is what we have done.
