The point is the portal/NIL is just something new and every time something new happens someone figures out how to take advantage of it better than everyone else

That’s not possible. The NIL deals are third party deals. Think Steph Curry and Subway. He gets paid millions for that and it is completely separate from the salary cap.

I think so.
As soon as you start having the championship be between Georgia, Michigan, Texas or Ohio State annually there will be fewer detractors.
If the funds are there - the players are there. If the players are there - one can win far more than they lose "over everyone else"!
So, if this is what people want out of CFB - for it to just be about the money - then Yep, it is possible.

Nick was NIL before NIL. All them 5 Stars weren't coming for free. Them championships were bought and paid for.

Now that it's all above board, there are a lot more schools playing the big money game.
The 12-team playoff will also make it more difficult to close the sale each year.
IMO, no CFB coach will ever have the run of dominance that Saban had at Alabama.
