Tied in 4th quarter. ACC stadiums don't prepare for the atmosphere

SCAR lost a road game to a bad Tennesse team in a 100,000 seat stadium. When does Clemson ever go on the road to stadiums that compare to what SCAR sees most everytime they play on the road.....answer, only when Clemson visits FSU and SCAR.
The ACC / SEC argument may have less to do with athletes and more to do with mental toughness. It is HARD to win on the road anywhere....I don't know why, but weird things happen to good teams on the road.
This was BY FAR the largest and most hostile crowd the Tigers played in front of and with the game on the line in the 4th quarter the offense and special teams couldn't handle it. Defense, by nature of their responsibilities is less affected by hostile crowds and I thought the defense played better than in the previous 4 years.
Until some more ACC schools start taking football seriously and getting their fans motivated, the ACC will be weak preparation for big road games such as UGA next year.

So all of those empty seats in Neyland Stadium made scar lose? That place wasn't packed out for that game.

A partially filled Neyland Stadium is still much larger...

than a full Wallace Wade, BB&T, Carter-Finley, Kenan, Bobby Dodd, Byrd, or Scott.

Even if there were 20,000 empty seats

That is still 80,000 screaming fans. Where are the 80,000 seat stadiums in the ACC?

The fans can have a lot to do with team performance but it ultimately comes down to coaching, the players you have and execution.

Of course. What ACC stadiums do the Tigers visit that prepare for SEC stadium atmosphere?

It's for fans in Wallace Wade and Kenan to cheer in the second half when they are walking out to watch a basketball practice.
