Coot thinks they have the best Offensive player in SEC

This is a response to a comment I made on an article I saw about UGA games they dont need to overlook and I made the comment that USC is not going to be as tough of a opponent as people are making it out to be and brought up the fact that only scored 30+ points only 3 times after the first week and all those were against terrible teams.
This guy Thinks the reason for that is because they were missing the "Best Offensive Player in the SEC" in Deebo Samuel last year, I mean completely ignore Chubb, Michel, Ridley, Bo, hell even Hurts all play in the same conference.

even though they’ve had overall slim success in the ACC (1 League Banner, in a weak year when best record was 7 wins) & 0 SEC Titles.
They have destroyed 3 National Championship Head Coaches (Even Spur went out with a whimper after giving them the best gravy years in their bleak history).
Saying..behind Clemson Tigers by 27 games in head-to-head on the field battles..the first 60+ games played every year in Columbia, at that!
LOSERS!

They don't know how to do that.
Let me help them:
A - As TurnerK28 mentioned, Deebo is good, but debatable as to whether you lost the "best" player in the SEC.
B - So, based on that comment, you assume no other team you played lost any key players before playing you? Sadly, injuries are a part of the game that every team has to deal with. NOBODY stays 100% healthy the entire season. That is why you recruit more than one player per position.
C - Let's look at the schedule and see who you beat. I'll give you NC State (even though Doorknob has a tendency to blow games), but do you really see any power house teams that you beat? Missouri, 7-5 with two of those wins against lower tier teams. La Tech, a lower tier team. Arkansas, who fired their coach. Tennessee, who fired their coach. Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt? Enough said. Florida, who fired their coach. Wofford, a lower tier team. Michigan, (which I actually enjoyed watching Harbaugh blow a big lead) but a good win.
D - You lost to Kentucky. Kentucky? Four Years in a row. At HOME. At NIGHT. Really? You lost to Texas A&M, who fired their coach. You lost to Georgia. No shame on that one! You lost to Clemson, at HOME, at NIGHT, and didn't even cross the 50 yard line until the fourth quarter. You didn't score, at all, until the Clemson scrubs were in.
Yea, SCAR would have been all of that and a bag of chips, if Deebo hadn't been out.

In fairness to your Gamecock 'friend', he is probably just repeating Ellis-logic. Todd Ellis gets very creative with facts on the coach's call-in show. And he makes me absolutely nauseous--and I have a pretty solid stomach, normally--when he tries to out-homer Muschamp. So when he says, "Clemson has Dabo, but we've got Deebo, and I like our guy better", what kind of brain comes up with that line?

that maintains just before a 34-10 beatdown, that $CU is cycling-in while Clemson is cycling-out.
Ahhh the value of an $CU education.

You do realize that Michigan only beat one team with a winning record last year, don't you. They beat a 7-5 Purdue team? How is that a good win?

The best offensive player in the SEC

Will probably be holding a clipboard on the UGA sideline as they demolish the Coots week 2.
Think Fields is the real deal and could have some epic battles with TL sooner than later.

While all the truth telling about the Coots are great I have to say there is a reason Georgia never recruited Fields until after Lawrence committed to Clemson. Fields is a good player but he has been overhyped in a major way. If he was so good then why was he never on the radar until after the camp circuit? Lawrence was pegged as the real deal for years, Fields was an unknown up until his camp performance when the recruiting services started going nuts for him. Heck he didn't even play his whole senior year. I know your not saying he is as good as Lawrence I am just trying to figure out where all this hype came from with Fields. All of it came from the camps when guys are running around in shorts. I just didn't get it how Lawrence who was acknowledged by many in the recruiting business as being the best prospect they have seen in decades all of a sudden got passed by Fields in a 1 or 2 of the recruiting services based on his camp performance. For the life of me I just don't get it. I mean it doesn't matter know because we will all get to see which is the best soon enough but it just makes you wonder if they wanted buzz around the #1 guy and with Lawrence committed to Clemson you weren't going to get that with him because it sure as h3ll isn't because Felds was better than Lawrence.

Fields is an absolute baller by all accounts. He didn't play most of his senior year and more or less that was his choice and a bit by an injury to his finger. But I saw him in their spring game as well and he looked the part. I do believe gridiron players are a lot more reliable than camp champs don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't write off Fields by any means. He was committed, once his recruiting opened back up he started camping and he really did ball out. I think he was 2nd best in the country due to the individual talent I saw in him, in my opinion as he hardly could win a game in high school much less put up a whole season.

I can make arguments against it, but what he was on pace for last year was extremely impressive. Pharoah Cooper did the same thing though and the coots went 3-9... Just because they have a good player doesn't make them good at all.
