post was about Saban doing a great job winning games - not just this year, nearly every year. The schedule includes us, USC, Fla St., many, many other top 5/10 teams over the years. Not to mention beating down teams that are not in their class. He's got his team in the top few for several years

I think that is more evidence that Alabama is overrated. Texas AM has issues in the secondary if they choked a 34 point lead. They didn't look good against SC at home, and squeaked out a win against a bad Florida team.

Texas AM also only beat Nichols at home by 10, they gave up 43 points to Arkansas at home and only won by 7.
Clemson has played 3 teams with good QBs, Lville, Cuse, and Va Tech and all 3 were on the road. Much tougher schedule than Bama's.

Meh..Im no lover of Saban as a coach, but he is among the greatest college coaches ever, if not the best. To put it into perspective, he turned around Toledo in one season from a .500-ish team to a 9-10 win program. Then went to Michigan St who was BAD at the time, and if I'm not mistaken, under recruiting sanctions when he arrived. He got them to arround .500 in year one, and Beat UF in a bowl in year 3. Not bad imo. Miami was a small same size, but let's be fair. Why do NFL coaching jobs usually come open? Because the guy before them was bad and couldn't win. Miami was real bad, the only star on the team when he got there was Jason Taylor, and they definitely whiffed in one case, taking Culpepper instead of Brees. Past that he was building a decent team, and I believe realized it wasn't what he wanted to do for a number of reasons, chiefly among them the lack of control a NFL coach has compared to a CFB coach. He went to Bama and the rest is history. Again, I think he is a jerk in the media, but his players seem to like him, and they definitely love winning. I also Think any program in the country would gladly have him.

He’s been successful at LSU & Alabama. He has unlimited resources at Alabama. He’s never really stood out anywhere else. Not really the GOAT but knows where to go to be most successful

His record at Alabama and LSU might get him near GOAT status , but he has been exceedingly average everywhere else .
