Richard Yeargin to BC

May 23, 2019, 7:06 AM

Just listened to Larry Williams Dubcast (podcast) for yesterday (May22) which was an interview with Richard Yeargin. After a recent surgery he has been cleared to play football again. Clemson (Dabo) is fully supporting him and looks like Boston College has a spot for him. He plans to earn his second masters degree there, while playing. Sounds like Dabo helped explain his situation to BC.

Yeargin is 100% All In and loves the Tigers but gave up his scholarship because he was in the situation of not thinking he could play because of medical reasons. He said recruiting is so hot at Clemson so they could use his spot. Now he moves forward making the best of this situation.

This kid is so smart, has over the top character, and deserves our full support. I hope he becomes a star at BC as long as we block him well against us. I love a success story, especially one where the main character fights through adversity.

My best wishes to Richard Yeargin

Not a fan of transferring to schools on our schedule. At least we have BC at home this year. Good luck to RY.

You know he only

Did that so he could play in Death Valley one last time? He's smart like that! ;)

Whether a school is on our schedule or not, should have

nothing to do with where a person can transfer! Especially someone like Yeargin, who already has a Clemson degree.

Why is that?***

I worked with a BC grad for years, and she was possibly one of the smartest people I ever worked with. She ran the Transplant department at a large hospital in the southeast. She was also a cheerleader for BC when Flutie threw the Hail Mary. Fantastic person. So RY should do well with that BC degree IMO.

A former colleague had two kids go there. Great school.

Thanks R.Y.! And thanks OP! He full filled his commitment to CU. He gave it his best. Thought his playing career was over and well now, it isn't! Seems like a: "I still love football, may as well do it if I can/while I can"! Good for him.
I wish him nothing but the best!

Let's cheer for him when he's announced at DV this season!

May 24, 2019, 9:54 AM

No, that's not sarcasm... it would be a very Clemson thing to do. Think of it as the new meaning of the term "Clemsoning." ;)
