O.K.
There may be a few liberal republicans and a few conservative dems, but I'd dare say there is a pretty big difference between the parties in general.

Bill Hicks and his take on the President's power. To paraphrase, basically after his inauguration he is led into a dark room with the heads of the big industries and whatnot sitting down and then a grainy film is played of an angle of the JFK assassination noone has ever seen before. Then the lights go on and the President is asked "Any questions?" ??

the Tea Party. They see smaller government as a reduction in their status and power. Basically the same as the Dems. When John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are pushing Obama initiatives, it's pretty dang obvious we are all being played.

than just "don't like big government and that is why they are hated". There are other things on their "non negotiable 15 core beliefs" website list that raises eyebrows on both sides of the table. The Tea Party speaks to a certain audience for sure.

The only difference between Bush's foreign policy and Obama's, is that Obama has killed more people.

right or backwards or ultra conservative or even racist is beyond me. That's the same platform Reagan ran on and he's one of the most popular presidents ever. The Tea Party platform is basically the founding fathers platform, the Constitution. If you think that platform is far right you're probably a socialist.

comment or the gun is sacred mumbo jumbo. The English comment reeks of screw immigrants. C'mon, I don't need to explain to you Tea Partiers. Immigrants suck, the poor are a drain. An unhealthy fixation on gun rights that aren't being threatened....etc....etc.

Please give me the correct version, the real accurate Tea Partier because when I see them or listen to them whine around here, it is about immigrants, poor people, guns being taken away, and if they are really cooking, you get a Kenyan or Muslim comment about Obama thrown in. I just let my shallow mind soak it all in.

Establisment Republicans don't like the "tea partiers"....

(there is no tea party, as there is not a single member of congress that has run under that party) because they are the nuttiest of the right wingers and are helping to make The Presidency nearly impossible for Republicans to win, because Republicans have to kiss up to the nut jobs. And come general election time, kissing up to nut jobs comes back to bite you with the general electorate.

As politicians they have different talking points, but once elected very few follow through with anything.

"actually electable politicians"
Quit focusing on "electable" because those "electable" politicians serving now are the ones who have ###### us over for years, yet folks like yourself are more than willing to bend over and grab your ankles just so you get those "electable politicians" in office.

'Socialism', so be it. 'Capitalism' in the guise of privatization is exactly what lead to corporatization, off-shoring of the industrial base, Citizens United, Obamacare, wars, wars, and more wars.... Half, if not more, of our budget is spent on "Defense" or "Homeland Security". The government gets hacked while they're spending $Billions to hack US citizens... It's time for a change.
