More than likely he want be here that long. 2 years tops before he gets a head coaching job. But good news is Jeff Scott ain’t going anywhere and he will learn his system.

Jeff Scott knows more about offensive football than all the T-netters and the most-recent OC combined
Jeff Scott's father was the offensive coordinator for several national championship-level years, with Bowden, at Florida State. And Jeff was trained by, and talks to, his father...
Jeff Scott was also the best recruiting coordinator, EVER, at Clemson!! He often picked 3-star players that bloomed into much more than was expected.
And, he may hv been the best WR coach, too.
For years after the Chad left, Jeff Scott was the pre-game analyst. Including for the 2016 and 2018 championships (but not for the NCG vs LSU). As the pregame analyst, he studied the opposing team's defenses, and our offenses, and then made determinations and recommendations for the best play types, and the locations for those plays, that would be on the shortlists for the gameplans.
(When he left for USF our offense started to sputter and continually went downhill and recruiting slipped.)

He did win 2 National Championships as co-OC which is more than the just released OC did.

It takes a whole more than a QB. If Riley stays and we have success in the next 2 or 3 years, I hope we can attract the whole deal-QB, TE, RB, WT and OL. We need all of them.

Ask me in 4 years. Morris was at Clemson 4 seasons and Watson came in 2014, Morris' last year.

With respect, this is demonstrably inaccurate. Chad had se good stiff going on but he seemed unable to adjust to the abilities of his players. Cole Stoudt against OU is the best, but nor sole example.
I've nothing really against Chad, he left us better than he found us. but his limitations were not well hidden.
