One raped a girl, stole from local businesses, was insubordinate to his coaches on national TV, has committed sexual assault again since being in the NFL at least once to an uber driver and was suspended for screaming sexual references at younger girls touring FSU.
Another was taken to practice in an armored truck as a comical joke towards his bosses.
I dislike Jalen Ramsey and think he's annoying but I can't compare him to Jameis at all.

Whether (alleged) "Christian" Bobby Bowden or Jimbo - I'd say FSU employed, without hesitation, the gangster element to win. Bowden for sure. FSU would take ANYBODY - & then enable their bad behavior at all costs.
Bowden even admitted - straight out - that during games he chewed gum, but any other time chewed tobacco. Said it was so his tobacco chewing "would not influence kids." Really? Or was it to satisfy/fool all those Bible-thumpers he always sidled up to? I don't know if chewing baccy keeps you out of heaven, but it might keep you out of Southern Baptist churches. Just seemed very hypocritical to me. "I'll act one way on camera - and just the opposite behind the scenes coaching & recruiting."

Hey, the bible-thumpers voted for a guy who was screwing a #### star while his wife was pregnant with his youngest son. I very much doubt they'd be all that worried about Bobby chewing tobacco.

Well, you'd be surprised at how many WOULD in fact put tobacco chewing on a par with porn-plowing. But my choice of words - "Bible-thumpers" - was probably not a good one. I was likely thinking of some of the televangelists like the Swaggarts, Robert Tiltons, Kenneth Copeland, etc. The real shysters.
I do tend to agree with the late Billy Graham who said he estimated in most congregations, maybe 80% were not truly saved & were only there to impress someone or because they thought "going to church" would save their souls.
It's sad. I've known plenty of Christians I'm convinced are absolutely genuine - the real thing. I've also known a ton who only profess to be & are only there to enhance their careers, meet the "right people" and/or wield power. I wish it were not so.
The real, main purpose of church is WORSHIP - not self-aggrandizement.
