it would be funny as heck if Duke upset FSU. Of course, there is about .01 percent of that actually happening.

rooting for someone because it helps us. The season is pretty much done. Let the chips fall where they may. We had our chances. Next. And, congrats to Coach Cutcliffe for getting Coach of the Year.

if FSU loses then SEC wins another title.
Now that is something worth rooting against.

I am pretty sick of hearing the letters "SEC" and the word "coot." All coots I see around here I am putting on ignore. I don't care what they say or do until the 2014 football season. And, I don't really care that much about the ACC. I am a Clemson fan. Period.

and that is why it is all the more important for the SEC "monster" to be taken down a notch before the selection committee gets to start picking teams next year. I would hate to have 1 loss next year and get left out of the playoff for a 2 loss SEC team because their schedule is "so tough".

This will be a home game for FSU. The dukies have one sure virtue, they aren't stupid enough to be wittiness to a crime.

Slight chance bearing on the fact that Cut might be the best coach that participates in that game.

Why do people give a crap about the conference?

I hate FSU and hope they lose, just like I hate UNC hoops and hope they always lose. Unlike chicken fans, I will take ZERO satisfaction in FSU winning a national championship.

We need FSU to win the CCG to put Clemson in the OB. We need FSU to win the CCG so Clemson get BCSMNC money from FSU's participation in that game.
Can you go with me that far on this issue? It all comes down to economic$.

So you don't give a crap about us winning the ACC Championship?
Or do you just enjoy the conference $$$ and don't care about anything else?

I care what Clemson does. I don't give a crap about the other schools. FSU winning it all doesn't help us in any way.

FSU in the BCS bowl means we probably get into a BCS bowl...and therefore we all get more dollars. That is why you care about conference.

bowl participation. After expenses and pieces of the pie are doled out, you would be surprised at how little money, if any, is left. There have been many times that Clemson went in the red by participating. Does anyone have that information from the last OB? Since I don't work there now, I am not privy to it.

like I said, we had our own chances without relying on other teams. I am just really tired of 'having' to pull for teams I don't like. I am burnt out with that SEC-ish attitude, at least for the rest of this season. Just saying...

you pull for them for the sole reason of them being in your conference. I think if it benefits your team directly then it makes sense.
If FSU plays OSU in the NC game then I could care less who wins from that point.

FSU winning would not hurt the SEC at all

It would take a heck of a lot more than one year to break that monster apart. But, it sure helps FSU against the rest of the schools they recruit against. Anyway, that's about all I have to say about it.
