And to hear" will be replaced by a brand new, exciting arena" and then to see the drawings of the inside of the "new" arena it's a joke. There is so little actual change it's sad. This refurbished arena thing is a shame. Don't do this arena on the cheap!! Spend the $$ and do it right! If basketball is to ever become a winner, it has to become a priority! In my opinion!

Yep need to go back to the original plan that we were shown. The latest plan is simply a band-aid and we will be back in the same spot in 10-15 years. We made this same mistake in 2003.

I feel the same way about a make over. LJ should have been leveled and hauled off, and with the plans ready to rebuild for the future. If a band aid is going to cost $50 to $80 mil, your best bet is reconstruction. Band aids are only a temporary fix that covers the wound, and the injury is still there.

...wierd to me. Like they are trying to make a bigger deal out of REBUILDING Littlejohn.
1. It will still be called Littlejohn (as far as I know). Why did they bill it as the "final game"?
2. It is just getting a major (and very much needed) face lift inside and out. Unless they changed something, they aren't tearing the whole thing down.
3. I am more concerned about how this will effect the football parking!
Don't get me wrong, I love attending games at Littlejohn. I was fortunate to be in school during the Ellis years with Elden, Dale, and Horace. That was some good basketball! I just think they are over hyping all of this. Maybe because our current team is not worth hyping at all?
