The play was to be a 3, because Coach B had to assume Alvarado would make both free throws.
Missing the FTs helped, because their D had to cover the whole court, which made Wright slow to switch on the ballsxreen Sims set at midcourt.
But don't pretend this was some 8th grader's prayer being answered. I agree that Honor probably only hits this shot 25% of the time, but I think he's clutch enough to make it 50% of the time the game is on the line.
Great, hard-fought win. Great foul shooting. Good rebounding. Couldn't get enough stops, and our turnovers kept them alive. I would have loved to beat them by 18, but I'm glad for this before our road trip.
