It's happened to me so many times through the years where I have to hold the charger at the perfect angle or my phone won't charge? Is the only option just to get another phone? Sucks.

Same, plus mud for me.
Was walking a stream, using phone to collect data, and went knee deep in an old stump rot. Phone catalpulted into the water. It was muddy, post rain events. I had to feel to find it. Still "ticking" lol

robust these days. Lots of metal detecting / stream / lake hunting videos out on the YouTube where people have found them underwater, taken them home and dried them out, gave them a charge, and they worked.
It almost restores a little faith in humanity that, at least in the videos I have watched, the person who found the device, be it a phone, or nowadays another commonly found item, Apple Watch or GoPro camera, has gone above and beyond to return them to the original owners, usually not even accepting a reward. (At least not on camera, LOL.)

blows over belly button detrius. They were joking around with a vacuum hose and a pipet, and one of them sucked the lint (and AIR, important) out of the other guy's belly button. Only then, he reversed the flow and blew it in the same guy's face.
It must have smelled god awful, because when he recovered from hacking, and nearly falling on the floor, I had to physically restrain him to keep him from decking the other guy, which most likely would have cost one or both of them their jobs. Like the sign said, "Horseplay in the workplace shall not be tolerated."
And they meant that chit. This incident happened on an evening shift after all the Bigwigs had gone home for the day. I was only hanging around waiting for sample returns on a distillation column that was acting up. (An all too common occurrance, they used to call me The Column Whisperer.) Lucky for those guys I was there, and that I was not a small individual. That is the quickest mood shift I have ever seen in my life, and could have turned out really ugly.
So, beware of sniffing belly buttons, or anything that comes FROM belly buttons, I don't care how good they might look.

inductive phone charger in rhe console? Ours died under warranty, was replaced, and died again very quickly. I finally just said screw it, and bought a cheapie cord to plug into the USB port to charge Wifeof's phone.
