So I'm not sure how Venables affected that.


Geez, Goodwin's defense gave up 17 points in regulation!!

The last drive of the first half was poor play calling, no doubt(And a missed holding call didn't help)! But outside of that what can you put on Goodwin for the loss?

The OT Touchdown was just a great throw and catch. It was one on one man coverage just like Venables would have run.

Our defense lacked neither fire nor emotion Saturday. Now if we go to Cuse and give up 35 and can’t get off the field after 3rd down you can revisit.

Yes. His energy and expertise motivated the whole team. The offense knew they could make a mistake and the defense would bail them out in a close game. Venebles' defense was feared by all teams we played. He may win a natty at Oklahoma before we win another one.

Its not like Venables has COVID or anything ...but we are without the exotic blitzes and quarterback pressures and sacks that made the statement that ** we own this field..this day**.
