In our first game or save him for the second game? I think we get NC State in the second game if we win on Wednesday.

I’d think putting anybody out there but your very best would just be foolish then.

Doesn't like Drew's abbreviated last name.

If you want to win the whole thing, save Knaak for Nancy Tate. But if you think you need to win at least one to host a Regional, start Knaak first game.

I think drew can handle Stanford or Virginia tech. I dont want to win just one game. I want to go all the way. If thats going to happen drew needs to pitch game 1. Yeah ncsu knocked knaak around earlier in the year, but im hoping that was an anomally. So id take my chances with drew game 1. Then knaak game 2 vs ncsu. But im not the coach, I trust him to make the right call.

Can't think that way. At some point, if we're going to accomplish the goals we set this year, our Saturday or Sunday pitching have got to beat a Nancy Tate. State isn't projected to host so it's a good chance whoever we host, the 2 seed will be as good if not better than nc state.

It’s win or go home. So it’s one game at a time and your best pitcher needs to take the mound.

I’d start him in game 1. They need to keep momentum going into the NC State game (assuming they win) to give them the best shot of taking that game. Also, I’d rather not pitch a starter on shorter rest than normal and potentially blow what should be a comfortable win.
Not to mention it wasn’t like Knaak was good during the NC St series anyways; 8 runs on 11 hits in 4 innings doesn’t give me confidence he’d do any better. They didn’t get any cheap hits either, they game planned for him perfectly, and I don’t believe it would’ve changed much in the last month. I think Bailey or Bell might be the move, Bailey did the best that series and Bell has the least amount of innings for them to scout of any starter.

It'll be the same rotation. Titsworth in game 2 against the pups. Bell looked pretty good today. Shakey the first couple batters but he settled in. Got great help from the D. Bailey hasn't looked as sharp the last couple outings.
