But I really thought they were closing all of the Winn Dixie’s down. I know they closed em all down around the same time here in GVegas.

As a distributor to chain grocery here is what happened.

Winn Dixie did leave S.C. years ago, but they still have a viable company and stores in Florida (some others in the SE). A few years ago Winn Dixie bought Bi-Lo. As a result Bi-Lo has been in a downward spiral the last few years, declaring bankruptcy and closing a lot of stores. Word is Winn Dixie May sell they remaining Bilo stores in SC to competitors.
This same thing happened to Piggly Wiggly when it got bought out around 4-5 years ago. All the corporate stores were sold to Bilo-and Harris Teeter (Kroger, bc Kroger brought teeter a few years ago as well) .
The remaining piggly wiggly stores now were all franchised stores and were owned by independent operators thus they are still allowed to use the name.
That’s the long explanation.

in Florida and some other states.
I was in Fla I think and saw a W-D weekly flyer, looked exactly like a Bi-Lo.
Pig is awesome, wish they were in the Upstate. I stop in one every time I'm downstate. Wear my Pig camo ballcap alot and I get a compliment from somebody almost every time I do.

Yea, but after you scaled the bird, the yellow scales sluff right off.
The only gross part that is left is any sores, which is known as Bumblefoot. Mine walked around on chicken wire all day when I raised meat birds and a lot of the feet had nasty sores that went through the scales.
I just boiled mine down and made broth with them. 60 birds x 2 feet per = a lot of broth. Add in all of the backs, necks, and skin along with a sack of celery, carrots, and onions and I made 10 gallons of nice flavorful broth.

seeing Bill Murray wear one famously on Gameday. Got a purple one in the nice Pig just south of downtown MB in that developed area. Seriously, I get comments every time I wear it. And the comments are always about the classic Pig logo head on the front, not the pig butt on the back. My favorite t-shirt.
Actually, I have somewhat of a collection of Pig t's, mostly from Q joints.
