“COMMITTING” or “COMMITTED” in their announcment tweets.
It is not only OFFENSIVE to use such a term in this context, it is TRIGGERING!!
Just speak PLAINLY…you’re PLAYING for such-and-such university next year, and that’s all.
Better yet, just say you have a 1-year contract with so-and-so university, and IF the team wins a lot, I don’t get injured, they promise to increase my salary, the coaching staff doesn’t p155 me off, the athletic department accepts my preferred uniform color combinations, reimburse me to remove some unwanted tattoos, and also provide me with an emotional support pet…then, I MIGHT, I say, MIGHT, stay for a 2nd 1-year contract.

At their age you can’t blame them for wanting to be the king everywhere they go, money, women and cars depending on who wants to give you the most money and control.
It’s a really flawed system and it’s destroying why people watch and feel loyalty!

allowing this new day recruiting process to continue down the road doesn't teach the young kids a very important life lesson.which is that selling yourself to the highest bidder isn't always the smartest decision.i know it's an overused saying,but it's true.money doesn't always bring happiness and fulfillment.how many celebrities and athletes wind up in unhappy circumstances?

Yes, like the coots #1 running back, one day he says he will be returning next season, and the next day he informs them he is entering the portal. You just can't blame him for changing his mind, but, they believe that tampering is involved

Just like “normal” students, student-athletes have to get used to academics, time management, and social dynamics, but then add on the extra time demands of playing a sport in college: fitness work, team meetings, practice, travel and games … it can all be overwhelming especially if you’re not getting the playing time you expected. I can attest to that.
There are legitimate reasons for transferring which might include needing to be closer to family for a sickness in the family, academic difficulty, playing time, and much more.
Sometimes your plans don’t work out and you just need a fresh start. It is possible to show commitment to new opportunities at different points in your life without being disingenuous.
Let’s just thank these young men for their time and wish them well in their future endeavors.

It was a play on words and not meant to be taken that seriously... I recognize that is hard to decipher from a simple post. In some cases it does apply, like the guys on their 3rd transfer simply looking for more NIL$ or afraid to compete with the new shiny penny coming into a program. Others use it for legitimate reasons. I think we can all agree it has brought out the best and the worst in many.
And also, it was a general comment and not one reflecting on our guys specifically.
