Friday, worked late.

Saturday had birthday party for two of my nephews who were born one week apart (2 years difference). So my late BIL was pretty on-time with knocking up my sister in law I guess.

From there niece and other nephew spent the night at the house so BIL and SIL could attend a wedding.

Some how, some way, during the evening, 3 year old nephew learned the phrase "what the ####" to which he said MULTIPLE times.

Now BIL and SIL are mad at me and wife of for teaching him that like I purposely sat him down and made him say it.

Sunday microwave died. Have the additional warranty from Walmart which means jack diddly ####. Spent sunday riding to different walmarts to replace.

Finally just got a different one. Didn't do #### the rest of the day.

Also found some Buffalo Trace so that was nice.

Friday, good friend came down from Raleigh and we headed up to the Waxhaw Taphouse for Xtreme World Wrestling. Met some former co-workers who have started their own marketing agency, so this was a chance to put my buddy who has his own agency together with them to discuss partnership opportunities. Went pretty well and I think it will benefit both parties, the wrestling was great fun, and we drank a LOT of beer and ate lobster dogs.

Saturday, lunch with my buddy before he headed back to Raleigh, a tour of all our old hangouts from our youth, rode through his old neighborhood to see his childhood house, etc. Birthday dinner for Joonyer Saturday night at CCB Bistro. VERY excellent food there if you're ever in RH, by the way.

Sunday, a lot of relaxing during the day, then off to the Thirsty Beaver to see Brady Heck and the High Water last night. Great show!

19/19 Covids, would do it all again.

Sonof had the AAAA State Track Meet at Richland Northeast on Friday. Here are his results:
4x100 team finished 4th (seeded 10th)
400m finished 5th (seeded 12th) time was fast enough to make the All-State Team
200m was garbage ran terrible
4x400 team finished 5th (seeded 12th) ran 5 seconds faster than they had all year..they were fast enough to make the All-State Team
Team had 7 athletes competing and won the team title by 1 point...2 of those athletes competed in 4 events so that was helpful

moved start times by an hour so we ended up early.

Youngest was 2-0* on day 1, 2 goals and an assist.
Middle was 1-0-1 on Day 1 playing keeper.

Fields were hot AF, used sunscreen and still got a little cooked. Stayed at the Embassy Suites near the airport, hotel hasn't been renovated in 20 years. Meh, but it was a suite and so we had space.

Sunday youngest won game 1, lost Championship on penalties after tying 4-4, son scored one of those goals. Tough break, penalties are terrible for 10 year olds.
Middle son went 2-0, won the Division, but it was a shidd division. He scored playing in the field finally, one of the teams was so bad we let keeper and defenders play offense and forward play keeper.

Got home by 10:00, realized daughter needed school volleyball jersey washed for this morning so was up doing laundry until 11.

*U10 team, youngest son, played a team from OBX and they had a dad who was talking shidd from the get-go, yelling that our first goal was offsides. I turned and saw one of our dads talking to him, I thought casually, but it ended up being a chance for that guy, a parent of a 10 year old playing soccer, to talk shidd to us and say we were just mad cause they were going to beat our asses. I stayed out of it, couldn't care nearly enough about Youth Soccer to get into it, but this guy kept trying to cause trouble, etc. At the end of the game, we put our kids under a tree for coach to talk for a few and that Dad decided to walk circles around our team talking about us paying a Ref off. Bruh...these refs suck enough and I dammm sure don't care enough to pay a ref off. It was weird, kids could see something was off, but some of the Dads (and Moms) on our team didn't help, cheering directly at the other team when we scored, getting overly loud, etc. Quite honestly, it was kinda spicey and put a damper on the whole thing.

scouts were there watching for future scholly opportunities at every match. Some of the parents are just completely over the top. And they are still 7v7. Single ref, no linesman, and they chew those guys out occasionally.

The Dad for the other team was WAY over the top though, it was a little embarrassing, but the worst part was wifeof was at other kids' game so we couldn't #### talk to each other under our breaths and I had to just explain everything to her later.

People have no clue how hard it is to get a legit offer to play soccer at like Clemson or other solid schools. I'm not saying don't strive for it and don't have fun playing in tournaments. But just understand as a parent that these days should be a blast because you've only got a few more years before it completely goes away.

Got some takeout Thai Sat evening and chilled. Watched a little hockey.

Sunday slow morning then yardwork. Are cleaning gutters yardwork? IDK but that sucks, so not enjoy that but it wasn't too awful. Had some steak tips and asparagus for dinner, was nice. Watched a little more hockey (LOL, maple leafs gonna maple leaf).

Now struggling for monday motivation.

I dunno when I posted here last, but here is a picture edition of the last couple weeks:

Driving. Lots of driving

And traffic. Lots of traffic

Then finally

I've been to the Bahamas several times, and it has nothing on this. I'm not sure what was going on, but the camera doesn't do this neon water justice

same water, just my phone not doing it justice

Then there was a lot of this after drinking all day, drinking all night

And a lot of looking for fish

and a few of these

And some island sitting

and pool sitting:

Then going home

And fixing stuff

and every 30 minute job is one broken bolt from being a 5 hour job:

I let daughter of skip school on Friday. She aced her two most important finals, scoring better than 99 percent of kids in the state of FL taking the test. She inadvertantly had 3 riding lessons in a row on the new horse (yep, KMS is the proud owner of two farm animals... FML) and was flat out exhausted. She had plans with friends and rode her horses so I didn't see much of her.

Son of had championship tournament Saturday. They lost, making them runner up... AKA 1st loser. Another parent had some nice things to say about son of and how he is with his teammates which is really all you can hope for as a parent... for your kid not be a jerk.

Sunday was spent doing laundry, shopping and baking a birthday cake for a 90 year old who works in my office. Hope I'm half as spry at her age, hell I hope I even make it to her age.

Gonna be a short week, chaperoning a field trip to Kennedy Space Center on Friday.

Friday - had dinner with wife-of at Sullivans. Home and in bed early after long week at work.

Saturday - Don't remember much of early in the day. Took son-of to a grad party/spend-the-night in Powdersville and then took daughter and wife to look at possible vehicles for daughter in G'ville. Ended up getting daughter-of a 2013 Nissan Frontier with only 53k miles and in very good condition. Has bluetooth, but need to add a backup camera. She's 15 with a learner's permit and about to get her restricted. She's been fixated on getting a truck as her first car for some time now...pretty much all she talks about. She's killing it at school, sports, church, so we got her what she wanted...well she initially wanted a big truck, but I finally convinced her that that wasn't a good truck to start with, so she got on board with a smaller truck. Had dinner at the newer Capri's in G'ville, which was good.

Sunday - went to early church, then me and duaghter-of took my car to get washed and cleaned, lunch at messican, got some groceries delivered 'cause my ankle still hurts like sheet, watched Tiger softball get a W, watched some NBA and called it a night.

Overall laid back weekend except for daughter's excitement of getting a truck.
