Why can't we get a decent O-line? Those poor guys, especially the guards got freaking b*tch slapped, got DJ off rhythm and sacked numerous times. Whoever is recruiting and coaching O-line talent should be re-evaluated.

They're not being coached to run block.
How can you improve on anything if you don't practice it/work on it.
Again Elliott and our offense minds have totally abandoned the running game.
If you believe the recruiting, then we should be this bad at the O-line position.

had 16 carries for 48 yards. You can't keep running it if you're averaging 3 yards a carry. No sense running into a brick wall.

over the past few years? I don't follow recruiting that closely but I seem to remember us signing better linemen than we had in the past.

Yeah recruiting hasn’t been the problem. We’ve been signing 4 star OL for the last 7 years now.

Curious if the approach of cross training the OLs fails to provide enough focus to be efficient in their primary position. Not aware if this is a process other teams normally use.

Yes you need to be able to play one well before you move to another position. We don’t hold blocks and to many wiffs on blocks.
