I think it would be called targeting, he would have been kicked out of game. Plus it would have been shown over and over on Espn, and they would be talking about suspending him forever.

If Ben had made the hit on Gallman the whole game would have been out of order . Things like that only happen preceding someone nearby , presumably evil ...having divided by zero .
Why would Boulware be on the field targeting his teammate ? That is plain crazy talk .

I saw three different plays that could have been ( by the rule) called targeting. They didn't call it. Ben would have gotten called. But the bright side is we broke N C states hearts. That's what's important.
