Dabo's "5 of 10" comments now headlining on ESPN

Not coming off too well.
His comments weren't necessary. 95% of the college football world has no clue about Dabo's qualities but they see comments like this and this is how reputations are created.

things there will take care of themselves because of the emerging hot rivalry the Tigers are going to have with FSU for the ACC title position and more. Striving to be better than FSU will lead to USuC beatdowns like when we tried to get better and beat UGA in the 80's.

and stop further embarrassing Clemson. While I kind of agree that we beat FSU a few times in 10 tries, this is something I say to players behind closed doors to let them know I still believe in the team. This is something that should have never been said to the media. Another fail Dabo, thanks. Perception is 1/10 reality and with these stupid headlines going around people will perceive Dabo as an idiot.
Shut Up and play. Let your actions speak for themselves Dabo and the rest of the coaches and players for that matter. This team has dug a large hole for themselves and I hope they can find the right response to this giant serving of humble pie.
Please feel free to dislike my opinion and call me a coot. I don't give a flying %#$#$$%

Fans are never satisfied. 6-1 is not a bad start if we had Tommy or coach West where would we be right now. We just got beat and Dabo is not waving a white flag I like his intensity, We will learn to win better and unanimously in the future, Go Tigers!!!

You guys must have been some of the same guys who didn't want Dabo hired to begin with.... you are still waiting to say.... "I told you so...."
I love the fact that he said that.... and guess what.... I believe him. If you guys think that FSU is that much better than us, then you are crazy.
Bottom line is that the very first play of the game set the tone and we never recovered. Did we have opportunities? YES. Would I might have done some things differently? YES Would they have worked? Don't know!
I love the fact that a coach doesn't say all the "politically correct" things, in this case as it relates to coach speak.
You also forget the fact that FSU had a buy week and had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. If I am Clemson, not only Dabo but our new AD should DEMAND that we have a buy week before we play FSU next year.
FSU and Clemson ARE the ACC right now and FSU having a buy week before playing Clemson should never have happened.
Who cares what goofballs on ESPN say anyway.... just because they are on TV and have an opinion doesn't make them right.

I like your reply. People would complain if Nick Saban was coach here and lost. Most people who comment never played a snap of football. We just got out played Sat. now it is time to focus on "Maryland.

We could have beaten them had we been smarter or more confident or gotten a few breaks.
I hate saying this, b/c I love Tajh, but whichever team WInston was qb'ing for wins that game.

ignorance on a daily basis.
All they can see is a score. They can't/won't look at the play and tell who's beating whom up front, who's making bad decisions, etc.
They are as deep as a mud puddle after a few minutes of drizzle.
Frankly, I want to know how get a gig doing that. It takes no talent or effort from what I can see. That's why you get better analysis from blogs than from ESPN.

I think fans are expected to make comments like that

Even after getting spanked, coaches usually don't.
There are many on here saying the game would have turned out differently if not for the turnovers.....well of course it would have. But these people make those comments as if FSU had nothing to do with creating those turnovers. The fumble to start the game was just a gift but after that one you've got to credit FSU's defense for pressuring TB into bad throws and interceptions and credit their defense and coaches for making a good play call on the corner blitz to force the fumble.
Blowout games are usually full of turnovers and the turnovers are usually due to the opposing defense forcing mistakes.
I think it's fine for fans to overlook these things and stay positive and make crazy comments about how a game played out, but Dabo knows better, or he should.
Those turnovers weren't created in a vacuum...FSU had a lot to do with them and should be credited for it. A team that is better than you, whether it be due to talent or coaching or both, makes the plays on the field that make you look like you are "having a bad night".
Dabo went through every position on the field and stated whether FSU had better talent or equal talent at each position and then said the teams "weren't that far apart". I don't really understand what his point was because if talent wasn't the reason for that debacle then it must have been coaching, which I notice he didn't evaluate.
Just congratulate FSU on playing a great game and move on to the next question. He just didn't come off well with his comments and those are the kind of things that people who don't follow Clemson on a daily basis will remember.
