I ride a bit every other day non-competively and find I have a great feeling being outside when on that bad boy..
and of course wear the padded under-wear to protect the Boys, a bright yellow fluorescent vest, helmet, gloves, blinking rear light & front light.

August, so not much of a dark period before football season. Was lucky enough to catch the last stage of the 1987 Tour, Jeff Pierce an American won the stage.

I watch the Tour every year. Only bike race, I've ever watched

But, I'm a Tour junkie. One of my proudest sports knowledge moments came because of the Tour in 2007.
I moved to Vegas for the summer and was working in a hostel for international travelers. There were three guys from Belgium who were staying there, and they came and watched the Tour with me one morning. I was calling every attack and counter-attack on the final climb, and they were blown away by my knowledge and predictions.
They were shocked that an American knew anything about cycling; I was shocked that I was shocking them.

Btw, check out The Move podcast. It's Lance Armstrong and George Hincapie discussing the tour

George gives a lot of love to Greenville on the podcast.
Also, they have another podcast on The Move where it's Johan Bruyneel going in depth with tactics and predictions. It's fascinating! The man is spot on with almost every one of his predictions. His insight into the race gives you a whole new perspective of what is going on in the peloton and team cars.

Me too LBB ....ride my Lynskey 3 days a week with two friends (about 25 miles per outing).. People wonder why we wear the tight stretchy pants, but those who wonder have never had a bee or other flying bug fly up your pant leg at 20 mph ..... not fun. That is why I switched!

I really miss Paul Sherwin (sp). Bob is trying to give us all the history and architecture info, but he's got a lot of studying to do, lol. I used to ride alot around seneca, walhalla, and clemson but since moving to summerville, it's mtb only for me..
