It may be okay for these players, but may degenerate over time. I hope they stick to strict guidelines and not allow outside stuff to distract them. If it does the coaches will have to step in and make sure all the b.s. is curtailed.

I will be honest, I'm not great with this as it was just another of those things that set us apart. The unity, cohesion, and lack of drama. Social media is one of those things that seems to drive a stake into all that. That said, CDS let's the seniors make the call, and he has more than earned the right to do as he sees fit. I guess we all better accept that times have changed and we are not putting the Genie back in the bottle for college sports.

This article claims TL would be worth $1.2M, driven mainly by social media.

Exactly. This is the ramp up to next year for the few players who will be able to monetize their social media accounts. Sort of a test run to see if they can do it without destroying team chemistry. Much like the VLogs I imagine we could see a pretty entertaining side to players we might never get to know.
