"Presidents don't impact the economy as much as people give them credit for." This was never to say Presidents can't legitimately bomb the economy by doing something incredibly stupid and well beyond the scope of Executive power. If these tariffs had been put in front of Congress as is intended and designed in our system of government, they never would have passed. Since Congress is a bunch of cowards who punted...here's where we are. And it IS a direct result of Trump's actions
