Trump is clearly a disaster, but it's come to the point...

Jun 30, 2017, 11:58 AM

when we need to start thinking about dropping the Russia collusion thing. The only story about Trump with a legitimate foundation his how completely stupidly and compulsively he handles everything. He's not intentionally breaking the law and he's not colluding with an enemy of the United States, I don't think. I think his dumb @ss actually believes he is fighting America's enemies and is doing the right thing. (Ironically) Nearly all the laws he and his sycophants are breaking are because of grotesque incompetence and acute social disorders, not nefarious intent. To me, the former is actually worse. But it is what it is.

From the perspective of someone who wants to punch Trump in his sludgy face, I think the media focusing so much on an unsubstantiated claim that Trump is directly responsible for the Russia hack is a blow to all the millions and billions of serious and legitimate complaints about Trump. I mean, Trump is clearly the biggest embarrassment in White House history. By several miles. Can't we just make that the story, since it's legitimate? Sticking with a theme that has no real evidence is just giving ammo to all those who would never accept their cult leader as a bad guy anyway.

Russia didn't win the election for Trump. People do hate Trump, but people also hate Hillary. Trump winning is the result of our political system being badly broken, not because evil Russians or Trump cheating. Nobody is even claiming that the votes were tampered with. The DNC hack was a good thing in my opinion, as it informed the voters of the truth.

Honestly, his tweets and his running of the country are bigger sins than even if he did ask the Russians to hack the DNC, in my opinion. And, even as disgusting of a loser as Trump is, I still can't bring myself to say or think I would rather Hillary be in office. I'm just embarrassed our country sucks to the point that he is the President, but still glad Hillary isn't there. It's odd because electing Hillary would have been less of an embarrassment, but it would have been worse for me and my family.

Mueller is still staffing-up his investigation. They are just now cranking up. The DT is hoping he could "buy someone off." But DT obviously paid-off a low-ranking reporter to spread fake news for the sake of his right-wing followers.
Word on the street is that Mueller has brought-in 2 former FBI agents that are very experienced in tracking illegal money transfers from foreign govts (i.e., Russia).

I think everyone needs to get use to trump's dumb tweets and examine what he doing instead of what he's tweeting. If not for here or the news I wouldn't know what anyone tweets because I don't give a rat's #### about twitter, facebook or any of other foolishness like that.

Why is it that criticism of Trump is always met with Obama?

Obama has nothing to do with Trump's performance or behavior. It a deflection.

If we agree that Obama was the worst President ever, it still has no bearing on Trump.

People cry about the Liberal Media beating up Trump. How soon we forget the scathing treatment the

conservative media gave Obama, daily for 8 years.

Judge Trump on Trump's behavior, Obama no longer matters.

Trump is closer to a true conservative than we've had in decades. It's certain he isn't a RINO or liberal.

His policies are the reason I defend him. I think it's his policies which cause most people to attack him. I do not think you oppose everything he does but I think some of his policies and achievements rip your hide off and that's why you have a boner for him.

I think we choose our positions on trump partly because of our age and personal history. I also think that when it comes to Clemson I could not choose anyone I agree with more. :)

Trump is a true conservative?!?

Jun 30, 2017, 3:42 PM

You can't possibly believe this. You think he's more conservative than Pence or Cruz or Bush or Santorum? Trump might be slightly conservative by NYC standards, but the party moved away from Rockefeller Republicans years ago.

I have no problem if people don't like him due to policy. The witch hunt is out of control, but Trump's childish actions are the fault of his alone.

Trump is not a conservative at all. He has no political agenda. You have been manipulated by a con-man. He's not a Christian. He doesn't care about he Constitution. He doesn't care about gun rights. He just looks for the biggest suckers, and uses them to aggrandize himself. That's why he "loves the poorly educated" and he looks to ally with racists, xenophobes, nativists and the like. If you are a white dude, and you say angry stuff about people that the great unwashed don't like, you can get away with murder and they will keep lapping up your garbage for eternity.

You're good at building straw man arguments.

Jul 1, 2017, 10:08 AM

I excuse you because I can tell you're overwhelmed with emotion and having an emotional rant right now.

Never, ever, ever have I said Trump is a Christian, never. Never have I said he cares about
constitution. Never have I said he cares about gun rights.

You pointed out that he's white which brings race into this subject. Him being white has nothing to do with whether or not his 'sycophants,' violated the law.

You just posted a thread about liberals being called liberal and asking for an end to such rhetoric.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck...Honestly, you're a liberal and it's clear you're in denial. Dood, you're a duck. A duck is a duck. Even if he's in the closet or not.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgringofhonor-clemsontiger1988-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm not sure you are aware what a straw man argument is.

Jul 2, 2017, 12:16 PM

A straw man argument is when you don't have anything legitimate to say about the argument at hand, you go after a topic that isn't true or related because it's more winnable.

With that said... did you read your post? THAT is a straw man post. And it's extremely fitting that you just accidentally wandered into a bout of obvious hypocrisy.

That, and your post is a demonstration of your addiction to a tribal mentality. You are incapable of viewing the world in anything other than red team vs blue team. This explains your debasing yourself to sucking up to a piece of garbage, and it explains you calling someone who is the opposite of a liberal a liberal. You have reached the dead end of your badly limited and distorted world-view and have nothing left to process all the stuff outside of it. So... you just belch out the phrase "Liberal."

Re: List of laws trump's sycophants are breaking:

Jun 30, 2017, 2:10 PM [ in reply to List of laws trump's sycophants are breaking: ]

Well, his campaign, w his knowledge, it will come-out, colluded w the Russians to affect the elections. (Why else would he be so scared of Flynn and Comey?) The FBI now knows that Flynn colluded w the Russians to hack the DNC emails. And THE DT has been trying to keep Flynn from testifying.
DT is making hundreds of millions by using his influence to direct foreign nationals to spend money at his golf courses, hotels, and resorts. (He doubled the membership cost at Mar Lago to $200,000 -- and their are selling like hotcakes to foreign govts and foeign lobbyists. VERY ILLEGAL.) But you don't have to believe me about the illegality; George Bush's Chief of Staff was ranting about how illegal it is.
That's what you have elected - a crook!
But, if you're like a lot of GOP supporters, you listen to Limbaugh -- we all know he's a drug addict and a felon. But it's okay b/c he's on Trump's side. So why would DT not get a pass?
You can be sure that Trump is carrying a BIG check to Putin, next week, to pay-off his campaign loans. While there, he will also roll-back Obama's sanctions on Russia (for election tampering and hacking) and return the 2 Dacas that Obama took b/c the Russians were using them for spying and hacking.
Again, the question is how a Christian can support the heathen abomination in the WH? Or, are they Christians in name only (CINO)?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You're a piece of work, hoppercats2.

Jul 1, 2017, 9:54 AM

I can't tell if your beef is with Trump, me or God. What I can say is that it's certain you are choosing me to contest and often throw a cheap shot about me being a hypocrite for supporting Trump and 'claiming,' to be Christian.

I'm not arguing with you about any of that now but I'd like to know why or how you can have such an opposing view of the Trump/Russian collusion delusion and not argue with the OP about it. You contradicted him by jacking his thread and starting another thread within his thread to oppose him and directed some venom toward me.

You're a little confused about how all this works but you're not confused about me being a hypocrite, you're right as rain about that. People who claim to be Christian and aren't are nearly harmless. It's real Christians who bring the pain when we refuse to obey, for our disobedience to God causes great harm. It's like having a light in a world of darkness and covering that light, let others stumble in the dark and leaving them alone and helpless in their misery and torment.

I'm sorry, I apologize and I'll try to do better. I'm not kidding, I pray for myself every night. Usually I pray for me first because I know I'm the most selfish person on earth. Oh, I'll put you on my prayer list too for it's certain that you seek me out to get help.

Exactly like all the "scandals" the right fumed over the last 8 years that never amounted to anything.

Obama's birth certificate muted so much else that might have been effective if the right hadn't been losing its mind over something that wasn't going anywhere.

On the other hand, as much as the BC thing provided cover for Obama with other stuff, it also was Trump's first real entry as a player with the right wing, so maybe some looney democrat is gearing up to ultimately fail to single handedly bring down Trump, but nonetheless situate themselves as a left wing populist hero so they can be President next.

I am absolutely loving this.

As a rebellious kid, I always wondered what it would be like to have Henry Rollins or Johnny Rotten as President - someone with no filter and not afraid to speak what he thinks, whenever and to who ever he pleased. I believe we have that now. A punk rocker president. And it is awesome to behold.

I always thought the unruly, rebellious liberals would be the ones offending the uptight, establishment conservatives. But the exact opposite is true. Amazing how the sides have switched.

Too bad you can't enjoy the show for what it is. For me, it was worth the wait.

Heck of a job considering all the hysterical hurdles put up by the libs/media (and some Repubs), with the economy and national security priorities #1. If he had a lick of cooperation, imagine what he could accomplish. Just a shame there is so much close-minded bias and bitterness.
