Today we discuss long ethernet runs.
I have an ethernet run of about 265 feet to the back of the shop. It is comprised of a 65' run, then a Netgear switch, then a 75' run, then a coupler, then a 50' run, another coupler, than a 75' run to another Netgear switch.
I need to replace this, but too difficult to have one long cable because there is too much crap in the way. Is there a better way?

Butt it's not a house to shop situation. It's an IT closet in the offices to an area 250+ feet away in the same building.

No reason you can't use a few eeros to reach that distance.
Mines runs from a cabinet in middle of house, bounces to stairway, then reaches 400 ft outside of house.

Going out intermittently

At the end of the run, there are 3 desktop computers and a wireless AP plugged into the Netgear switch.

wireless going out? Can't tell if the computers are plugged into the switch too or wireless.
Ethernet issues "normally" aren't intermittent. If it is your ethernet going out, I would look at the coupler first.
All that is said having no idea of your actual run location, etc...
I don't quite follow why you have a coupler...is it that you purchase pre-terminated cables and that's about as long as you can find?
I think you said you have ~200' between switches, so normal cat5 cable should be ok there since under 100m/330'. The reason I mentioned the coupler is I'm not sure what that does to signal loss and at 200' "could" be an issue.
You could try a prolonged ping between the 2 switches (ping 'ip#' -t). If you're getting dropped packets are variations in TTL then that could point to a bad connection.

It appears to be firewall related but we're not 100% sure yet.
