Favorite Clem-FSU game?

Nov 8, 2017, 7:14 PM

We all know that last year’s game was an instant classic. However, my favorite Clem-FSU game was back in 09 when we positioned ourself to clinch the division. Bobby Bowden’s last game in the Valley, Spiller putting on another all-purpose yardage exhibit, the birth of Ellington, McDaniel lowering the boom on Ponder, etc. Maybe not as monumental as the others but my favorite for sure.

I was a senior at CU, and we drilled them a week after Brett Fabre and Southern Miss did the same.

Revenge for puntrooskie.

watching Wayne Simmons with that interception and running towards us in the endzone seats was a thing of beauty. We were going crazy and sooo much stuff thrown at us by the home crowd. That was a magical night.

Clemson Football, the glory days are here!

Completely agree - watching Wayne Simmons............

intercept that pass and then glide down the field to score is definitely my top memory!

The 2009 game is easily a top 3-5 game atmosphere I have ever been in.

Yeah, 2003 was the biggest and best atmosphere for a game I

Nov 8, 2017, 7:59 PM

Experienced during my years of undergrad. I was sitting in the corner in front of the Band, front row. With about 1:30 left on the clock in the 4th, the state troopers in front of us said "Please be careful and take care of each other," and promptly disappeared rather than face the oncoming tide of humanity.

I was decidedly not sober, and the next couple of hours are a blur but involved taking one of the uprights through the intramural field, out to the Esso and up the road toward downtown. The cops weren't about to let us take that thing through downtown, so we crossed Bowman and chucked it in the pond.

It was later retrieved and cut into pieces for souvenirs.

1989 easily. 88 was a tense, tense heartbreaker, but 89

The last 3 years have been pretty great. Even the OT loss at FSU was an amazing game. 2011 was dang good. 2003 I will never forget. My best friends dad is a FSU fan and I was at their house watching at age 11.

89, T.Allen scored 3 TD's in first half.

Second would be 2016, some acrobatic catches by Legget, Williams and Watson delivered as he always did.
