I think they had to get married so the baby doesnt think it was conceived out of wedlock.
Serius, here's a picture of the nuptials. Slick ole buzzer conned his way into a real life at the young age of 73! One could be so lucky! I miss him as much as im happy for him and I promise I would give anything to have him back here except his happiness.

Memaw told her family that she was engaged but she wanted this over quickly and without fanfare in hopes I wouldn't get away this time.
She's instructing all y'all's side of the family to call me Grandaddy so if you get fresh with me you know what's gonna happen when you come visit. I know you've not forgotten that strap hanging beside the wood shed door.
