Yahoo reporting Saban to Texas

Dec 11, 2013, 12:20 PM

And it begins......

There's been too much smoke the past few days...

Dec 11, 2013, 12:24 PM

for Bama not to be completely burning down by now...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Plus Saban hasn't signed the extension Bama offered him***

null

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Plus he made a "Hook 'em horns" sign when they asked

Dec 11, 2013, 12:31 PM

him about the rumors after saying "no comment"!!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That made me laugh out loud.***

I'm not buying into the rumors created by she said, he said.

Dec 11, 2013, 12:27 PM

This particular assembly of facts leads me to believe there are some goings on between some Tejus representatives and the Saban clan.

Saban may be leveraging the situation for a big raise or he may be serious about moving. Something is going on here.

I would imagine Saban is waiting to see what all of his options are, and will make a decision that he feels is in he and his families best interest.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think he signs an extension with Bama...

Dec 11, 2013, 12:38 PM

...but there is an awful lot of smoke.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Since Saban hasn't signed the extension

Dec 11, 2013, 12:31 PM

He is probably going to leave. He is the type of guy who wants another challenge. If he can win multiple NC for Texas, he would become the greatest coach all time.

I would say he's just trying to leverage Bama for more

Dec 11, 2013, 12:32 PM

money but I think they'd pay him what he asks without flirting with another school.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think $$ is going to be the issue here..............

Dec 11, 2013, 12:43 PM

Both of these schools will be prepared to pay him whatever it takes. This is a matter of preference....facilities, location, boredom w/present job which Saban is known for, etc.....but not $$

Maybe a role for his daughter in "Dallas III".***

Debbie?

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The reason this country has a future.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO

I have to ask...

Dec 11, 2013, 1:07 PM

At what point, if you're Nick Saban, do you just get bored with building college programs, especially if in 5 years you're gonna get the itch to go somewhere else?

Why not retire, give the NFL another shot, try TV, or something else? I think it's a little strange to just go from the same project to the same project. It's like building a sandcastle, knocking it down, and building another one, over and over again.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It used to be fun for me on EA sports NCAA CFB.

Dec 11, 2013, 1:10 PM

I got up to like 11 seasons. I won the NC every season. Saban does it for real. I can't imagine how rewarding it must be. Maybe it never gets old for some people.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

and he wasnt that bad at Miami

Dec 11, 2013, 1:38 PM [ in reply to I have to ask... ]

9-7 and 6-10. Not good but nit quite the disaster that people remember.

The internet has killed the cliche about smoke meaning fire.

Dec 11, 2013, 1:05 PM

The internet is constantly smoking, regardless of whether there is any fire.

Re: The internet has killed the cliche about smoke meaning fire.

Dec 11, 2013, 1:19 PM

imo saban stays at bama. he hate the hurry up offenses, which all the big 12 run, can the big 12 stay at 10 schools with new playoff system, will texas look at moving to the sec or pac14, start over at 6 plus years, system already in place to be nc contender every year at bama. just cant see it.

Alabama is going on probation , no way the NCAA overlooks the DJ Fluker money deal . He will leave while he has a chance
