WVU/TCU are not officially in the Big XII yet, won't be until their meeting this summer. So TDP can talk to their officials like Oliver Luck AS MUCH AS HE WANTS, and not be lying when he says he has not been in contact with the Big XII.
I'm starting to think that Luck is the conduit in most, if not all, of this communication with Clemson/FSU.

You could be right. It could be that Oliver Luck at WVU is the one helping Clemson and FSU talk to the Big 12. Clemson and FSU did support WVU joining the ACC.

Yuppers, we (WVU) would love ya to join the football party and Luck is shrewd. The ACCs biggest mistake could have been not taking WVU, but not just for what we bring football-wise, but because our AD is not to be scorned.

The Big XII needs twelve teams now. The Big XII would absolutely be content to sit tight at 12 and wait for Notre Dame as 13 or 14, but the addition of Notre Dame doesn't help the Big XII in the short term.
