It is safe to say we are not worthy of being called WRU. Our WRS cannot get open and they also can't catch. It's clear the staff doesn't trust them to get open when Cade never looks down field. His 1st read is the rb and then whoever is hovering around the line of scrimmage. We have missed on several positions in recruiting, but this one has hurt us the most.
It's too late already to use the transfer portal, but Dabo should have at least tried to get someone from there during the offseason. It's clear we don't have dudes at this position. We need a new wr coach and much better wr play.

Coaching is one I can think of haha there’s absolutely no way all of our 4/5 star wrs are that bad and we missed on em… I think we have a coach at that position that has no clue what he’s doing… on top of that I’m sorry but that offense didn’t seem like anything what we expected just judging from Riley’s past offenses … I mean nothing to the TEs or any deep shots to Collins or Randall and see if they can make a play … just the same crap from 3 years ago , makes you wonder how much Dabo has his hand in the offense … and don’t even wanna discuss defense they all look slow and unprepared

So you think all these 4* WRs we have got ranked that high by not getting separation and not being able to catch in HS?
This is play calling, plain and simple. I would bet every dollar that I have, that Dabo has been overriding the OC for the past 2 years.

If you watched the FSU game then you have a good example of what really good WRs are supposed to look like. We don't have one guy of that caliber. We have some that have the potential to be good but we don't have anyone starting that will ever be great.

My gripe is solely with the WR coach, not the players. Since he took over, it's been essentially a Light switch---WRU to WRWHO

WR separation and hands still seem to be an issue

Saw few audibles by a jumpy Cade. Are audibles coached and allowed? Did not use TE though Briningstool looked good early. Overused Ship. He played hard and looked concussed by all the hard hits he took.

Looked to me like he didn't trust any of his WR to make a play. Nothing down the field.

A good start would be getting Jeff Scott from the transfer portal.
Guys tonight got no separation, struggled to catch the ball, and I'm trying to recall any good blocks from that group. The best receiver block I saw was Brinningstool on Mafah's long run.
