He's pushed the envelope on recruiting and program management and now wants a signed, get-out-of-jail-free card from the university.

Well, he did just win them a national title, and they'll no doubt cash a lot of checks on it, so he's making the most of what little leverage he's got.

I don't feel sorry for these millionaire coaches; but I also don't blame them for building legal moats around themselves, their brands, and their careers, because these schools will send these guys - and their future prospects - to Gehenna faster than you can say scat.

We’ll see what happens if negotiations between Harbaughs agent and the Chargers make it a “phase 2”, if you will. Getting interesting.
