I've heard rumors that Raekwon's highschool coach stated in an interview that it was down to Alabama and Ohio state . Anybody know if there is any truth to this ?

Not what I'm hearing. On ShakintheSouthland.com they are saying Clemson still has a slight lead.

"We do know there was a strategy and reason the staff went in-home so early. Obviously we can't divulge that at this moment and it is unclear how big of an impact it will have but there was a rationale."

"Of course, he likes (Alabama). He's kind of honed in on his top two with Ohio State and Alabama in no particular order. And Auburn's obviously made an impression, because he granted them an in-home."

His recruitment really reminds me of Alexander last year . People had reported that he was going to auburn because of coach cheese leaving , then at the last moment we hear rumors of him favoring clemson

I was about to type the same comparison. But didn't because I figured somebody would nit pick it or have something negative to say. Very much reminds me of Alexander hope it has the same outcome.

Clemson biased analysts say Clemson. Bama biased.....you get the picture. I don't think anyone has any more insight than the next guy.

can you imagine if lattimore was at clemson instead of wasting his talents at usc jr college?

Clemson, with latty, morris and our wrs would've been insane. Go ahead and and tack on 1 maybe 2 more wins/yr & a natty title... instead of 11th place rings and a 3rd round pick in the draft. Such a shame.

I hope you're right. This young man has been impressive to me during his recruitment. He has done a great job of keeping his feelings and comments out of the press even though you have to imagine he has been hounded by every homer reporter out there. He seems pretty classy to me, and that is why I think we have a good shot at him.

I absolutely agree . Very mature for his age . I wish the best of luck to the young man wherever he decides to go

So do I. Whoever gets him will get a good player and a very good young man who has had a good example set for him. IMO I do believe he can find what he is looking for at Clemson, however, and I hope he sees that.

Ala S. Anthony. If there's one thing we km ow about venables, it's that he's going to have his best players on the field, regardless of whichever positional transitions need to take place for that to happen.
